Make your own handmade paper and prints

In his beautiful Byurakan studio, Ararat is offering his masterclasses to everyone who wants to learn the unique techniques of papermaking and printing. He has developed his own handmade paper and printing techniques by mixing the Armenian ingredients with ancient papermaking techniques. By participating you can also enjoy his creative process, you will make your own handmade paper, and then with a printing press you can choose a picture you like and keep the final piece as a souvenir. All materials are included, coffee, tea and light snacks will be available in Ararat’s beautiful garden.

Learn the secrets of papermaking and printing

This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn from a master if you have ever dreamed of learning a craft. In this advanced course, Ararat will teach you how to make good handmade paper and prints on them. Along with the papermaking, you will learn how to make reliefs on boards and later print images on them with embossing techniques. This is a professional course that lasts for a week but can be prolonged on demand. It doesn’t require an artistic background or any other knowledge. It includes all materials, three meals a day, and accommodation in a separate room in Byurakan Studio.
