Learn how to work with molten glass

Cumbria Crystal experiences are delivered by highly skilled professional glass makers who will guide you through your chosen experience step-by-step. In this experience you will learn how to gather molten glass from the furnace and shape it into a blown glass tumbler. The glass makers will guide you in shaping and inflating the glass, applying a punty and opening it up to create a pair of coloured tumblers using traditional wood and metal tools. Once completed, your crystal is put into an annealing oven to cool overnight. You will enjoy extremely close supervision and tuition. No experience is required for this workshop, which is dedicated to participants aged 16 years and over.
