Inkgo Lam is dedicated to creating contemporary bamboo art rich in emotional depth and Chinese aesthetics through traditional craftsmanship. She graduated with a degree in fine arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014, and apprenticed with Lui Ming, a bamboo steamer master, in 2020. Using heritage techniques, Inkgo strips and shapes raw bamboo to create dynamic installations. "The true essence of craftsmanship lies in the union of beauty and virtue," she says. "It is nurtured by diligent hands and enlightened by the passage of time." Since 2021, Inkgo's artworks have been widely exhibited locally and internationally, including in Art Basel Hong Kong, London Craft Week, Hong Kong Palace Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art and Chengdu Tianfu Art Museum.
