Ausara is an architectural surface and textile atelier founded by Shoson Thatawakorn and Jarupatcha Achavasmith. The Bangkok workshop employs craftspeople and weavers from different backgrounds, with a reverence for tradition and an eye towards the future. Shoson and Jarupatcha design textiles collections and wall coverings that become handwoven structures to filter light or divide up space. The pieces function as decorative items with a notable identity of their own.

The studio’s aesthetic research and artistic practice revolves around what the founders call 'surface alchemy', the transformation of raw material into a spatial experience through craft and ingenuity. Testing and layering leads to discovering how materials respond to light, hold structure, and endure over time. Ausara’s creations live between the tension of opposites, fabric and metal, softness and strength, shadow and shimmer, in a process driven by contradictions that find harmony.
