Harvested by hand in Tuscany, our orris root comes from the Florentine iris, a stunning yet scentless flower. After being peeled, sun-dried and sorted, the roots are left to mature in damp underground cellars for 3 years. This slow oxidation process forms the ions that create the luxurious, soft and powdery scent orris is known for. Cultivated entirely by hand on a centuries-old family farm in the Tuscan hills, this rare ingredient captures the essence of timeless craftsmanship and nature’s delicate beauty.
