Oil Can 2602

Slip cast porcelain and metal parts were assembled to make this teapot-like sculpture. With no glaze, the aesthetic effect results only from wood firing and the atmosphere in the kiln. The tripod form enables appreciation of the finishing below the main body of the teapot. The piece was wood fired for five days to 1340°C and then reduction cooled.
