ALI #350 folded organic form

These sculptural vessels spiral upwards and then outwards from a narrow base, creating the effect of capturing a moment of centrifugal energy frozen in time. The vessels are large-scale and made of porcelain with a textured, patterned surface achieved using collage-like press-moulded and slab-building techniques. Glazing as well as multiple oxidation firing processes give it a variegated finish.
