Kuran-ı Kerim

This binding of the Quran was prepared with red goatskin, and printed with a Rumi patterned mould from 1500 AD. In this printing, the mould was created by heating the mould in fire and burning the leather. On the rectangular border, three intertwined ‘S’ motifs were individually hand-hammered.
