A day that smelled of flowers and tasted of cake

This sculpture is crafted from porcelain, parian, earthenware clay, stoneware clay, glaze, gold leaf, and adhesive. It displays the chaos of celebration with all the ingredients for a rite of passage; flowers, candles and cakes and candies. It exists during or after the event, this is how food tells a story of the people and place it's in. This piece was made specifically for this exhibition.
