Stag Beetle box

The image on the lid of this box is a stag beetle, a copy of a 1947 illustration made by Paolo Carandini’s grandfather. The wooden box is covered with translucent parchment on which the beetle is drawn, and the parchment colours are light brown and burgundy on the sides of the lid. In this picture the box is placed on the sketchbook the image is taken from.
