This head piece represents the life cycle of a rose. It features a circular intertwined silver rose stem adorned with silk roses and cotton leaves, depicting every stage of development from bud to fruit. A beaded mesh snakeskin weaves through the flowers. To create this artwork, Séverina employed rare and ancient techniques, blending them with her own innovative methods, and using tools dating from the early 18th to the early 20th century that she has collected over the years. Martin Préault crafted the snake's skin from tiny faceted glass beads, woven into a mesh using techniques he continues to refine.
