Always on my mind

This enamelled jewel is a depiction of a man in a boat at sea, in which the waves are also the hair of a female figure. Made on a copper sheet cut by Nino Rostomashvili, the piece was fired many times during the process of applying base colours and counter enamels. The shapes within the frame were formed with silver wires. The jewel has several layers of colouring. Polishing is the final stage of the process.
