Drago #2

This unique handwoven wall hanging combines wool from the Canary Islands, corded dragon-tree leaves, and hemp. It is inspired by the beauty of humble materials manually sourced in the Canary Islands. Dragon-tree leaves are considered sacred by the indigenous people of the islands. Elisa Padrón reclaims natural fibres and transforms them in her Barcelona studio with a mix of basketry and loom weaving techniques.
