Hair Memories
"Where do memories go when we forget? Hair Memories is a fiction installation ruled by the principle of chrono-capillarity, which allows us to directly pick, extract and read memories from our hair, because hair, apparently, remembers everything." The installation is made from several long green glass capsules, in which Thibaut Nussbaumer’s dreadlocks are hung. He has identified each capsule by how old the dreadlock inside is, in number of days. Fascinated by time processes and geology, Thibaut keeps exploring how time shapes us.
