Bird of light and Eternal hummingbird

In this stellar composition, the Eternal hummingbird brooch (smaller) features alongside the Bird of light brooch (larger). The hummingbird is crowned with a peacock feather and adorned with a number of little stones, including black diamonds, blue sapphires, and tsavorite. The larger bird brooch is adorned with a peacock feather and little stones, among them yellow, white and black diamonds, blue sapphires, amethysts and Tahitian pearls. "Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by birds, and more specifically birds of paradise. I started drawing birds at the age of 10. Over the years, I have produced around 250 watercolour paintings. Today, I am pleased to be able to create high jewellery pieces that reflect these observations," says Surya Mathew.
