This is a framed two-panel wall piece made with a base of Florence leather and hand-wrapped silk cords, trapped beneath dense embroidery. It features contemporary stylisations in a cobalt blue palette and an unravelling mosaic of geometric motifs – patterns that originated in China and migrated through Iran to West Bengal along historic textile trade routes.
