The Somebana technique, originally used in Japan to create incredibly realistic artificial flowers, is here reinterpreted through the use of discarded silks. The latter, salvaged from fashion ateliers, not only lend a touch of elegance and uniqueness to the Dandelion flowers depicted but also embody a message of sustainability and creative reuse. The tree trunk, the central element of the work, is made using papier-mâché technique.
