Traditional costume, Maramures region

This women's traditional costume is from the Maramures region, Valea Izei. The shirt and skirt are made of matador cloth, in 100% cotton. The pattern around the neck is hand-sewn with floral motifs, framed in cotton lace all around. The aprons are hand woven on the loom, from PNA. The belt is made of black fabric/velvet and hand-stitched with floral motifs.
