Cockerel
To carve this cockerel from the stump of a spruce tree, Roman shaped the outline with a chainsaw and finished the details using chisels. The sculpture was crafted close to Lake Hinterburg in the Swiss Alps. During the winter of 1998-1999, an avalanche caused extensive damage to the forest and gave rise to the idea of transforming the fallen trees into sculptures. Since then, more than 100 figures have been carved.
