Blue Alchemy

Blue Alchemy refers to the first man-made pigment that was developed as early as 2600 BC by the Egyptians, for whom the colour blue symbolised life, fertility and rebirth. Through her Blue Alchemy collection, Sahabi revives ancient technologies for the production of coloured pigments, combining the two ancient craft techniques of felt and pottery-making. The seven vessels are made by hand from strips of felt, with a glass insert to hold the water.
