Leather bowl

The interior surface of the polychrome leather bowl in the foreground has been embossed on natural rock, following a technique of bio-embossing. The resulting surface of the leather bowl resembles that of a meteor or porous rock. The studio has developed techniques of bio-embossing by stretching sheets of leather over a porous rock and applying strong pressure to the leather so that the features of the rock are embossed onto the leather.
