OPUS 48_b

A semi-opaque sculpture made from extruded polypropylene seems to float, dissipating down over a white pedestal. Marlies uses the plastic medium to transcribe her fascination for fleeting moment by shaping hot plastic as it is pushed out in a malleable state from the extruder.
