Nautilus Minéralis

The sculpture Nautilus Minéralis is made of ash. Several processes were applied for its creation: the wood was carved, then engraved using the pyrography technique. Twenty layers of black pigmented lacquer were applied before the sculpture was finalised with a cerused finish and polishing.
