Capillum

This bodice, from Mary's Horse Tale collection, combines hand-plaited human hair and a leather bodice. The design and technique used to create it were inspired by the plaiting techniques for grooming a horse's mane and tail. Each hair is stitched in between the leather panels and then carefully plaited.
