On the River Ice I

The On the River Ice I (Joen jäällä I) glass vase was hand blown and moulded. Thin white lines cover the surface in a wavy pattern and subtly accentuate the curve. Through this piece, Helmi explores her childhood memories of cold winter days, when after dark polar days, the sky turns light again.
