Elm bench

The Elm bench was handcrafted using traditional joinery. The design process started with a curved walnut slab which Cristian had kept in the shop for many years before knowing what to create from it. Butterfly inlays were used to prevent cracks expanding. The legs are made from ash wood for strength. The curved backrest is made from bent elm wood with turned spindles.
