Celestial Twins

These lamps, Jumeaux célestes I and Jumeaux célestes II, form part of the Celestial Twins collection (2001). The idea of the twin is represented in the fusion of glass and iron. In these 2013 pieces, a third material, gold, completes the glass-light duo. The circle is thus complete: crystallised glass and its almost perfect transparency, celestial gold and its almost perfect opacity, light and its maternal vectorial capacity of this same transparency. This piece was made for Laurent's father.
