Future Grain Roots

This sculpture, part of Alison Brent's 'Future Roots' series bears a sand-like colour associated with some darker parts. Inspired by futurism and architecture in her work, the geometrical aspect of Alison's sculptures symbolises a future hypothetical architecture. This piece was hand built using slip cast shapes and then decorated in coloured body stains and enamel.
