Printed fabric

Each piece of fabric is hand block printed with a natural dye extracted from rust. The design is carved in wooden blocks that are dipped in the colour and then individually impressed on the fabric using a mallet. Some of Antonio Bandini and Giulia Martina Serafini's clients continue an age-old tradition of bringing their own fabric to be printed on, usually heirlooms in the form of handwoven hemp and cotton.
