The Pink Moon

José Carvalho's wheel thrown and decorated vase is made from stoneware clay and porcelain with multiple coloured slips and volcanic glazes. Trapped air between each firing creates the bubble effect. The piece was fired at 1290 degrees Celsius with multiple glaze firings.
