Bessemer Converter

There are four medallions produced for the St. Pauli Elbtunnel. These four medallions depict four technical inventions from around 1900 – the Elbtunnel was opened in 1911. A chain excavator, a submarine, a Bessemer converter, a seaplane and a Zeppelin represent earth, water, fire and air.
