Rectangular blue platter

This platter was made from blue oak. Ann Karlholm plays on the texture and colour of the wood with the top resembling burnt ashy wood, whilst the bottom retains its original colour. In the middle, a circle is carved in the wood to bring out the original colour of the wood and contrast with the blue stained surface.
