Mancanze (Absence)

This piece of art is mix and match of porcelain and ceramic fragments coming from different objects, according to the Japanese technique of Yobitsugi (“put together, unite”). All these pieces were glued together with urushi lacquer and gold dust to create a new object, symbolizing rebirth with the help of loving people.
