BLing Bang Carapace OR

This piece is made in two parts with hollow modelling and stamping, then adding elements one by one. Three firings are necessary to achieve the final objects: one at 1050°C, then another at 1280°C and a last one at 755°C. Cathy Marre created this piece in a context where humanity shows an infinite growing industrial exuberance, to the detriment of its biotope. This accessorised creature represents the human kingdom, enthroned on a living world that is still trying to breathe, to reach its last breath.
