Under the Arctic Sky, Only Beauty Remains

This sculpture envisions a possible future set in the enchanting high Arctic. It features a molten glass hemisphere, fractured into two halves, symbolising the Earth’s potential break. At the centre of this divide lies a delicate silver lace snowflake, also partially damaged. Flanking the broken glass, intricate gold lace elements represent the emergence of lush, new vegetation, with finely hand-sawn details of fragile leaves and flowers. Above the hemisphere, six gold lace butterflies gracefully hover, evoking a sense of life amid the icy expanse.
