Morning Star
This mask has the form of a seven-pointed star, and is painted in gold and silver. Reliefs depict opposing angels reconciled by St. Nino’s cross. Inspired by the Georgian myth of Amirani, the bringer of light, the composition suggests ascent, unity and illumination.
