Jean-Pierre Blanc

Hyères, France

Jean-Pierre Blanc is the founder of the annual International Festival of Fashion and Photography in Hyères, his birthplace. The festival, which he inaugurated in 1986, promotes young creatives in fashion, photography and fashion accessories. The event that takes place in the South of France, is well renowned for introducing up-and-coming talents to the fashion world. He is also the notable director of Villa Noailles, international arts centre. Open all year, the villa hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions, workshops, creative residencies, and festivals centred on contemporary fashion, photography, design, architecture and local culture. Jean-Pierre is the driving force behind the forward-thinking art initiatives run at the famous modernist villa, many to support rising creative talents. In 2006 he founded the Design Parade Festival and since 2019 has exhibited collections at the Centre Pompidou, Paris.
