Inspired by a man met in Rome, this is deeply personal work made with ink and watercolour on paper. It contrasts the weathered, deep-set wrinkles of the homeless man with his sharp, resilient gaze. The red hat, painted with striking intensity, serves as his only shelter, symbolising both his vulnerability and his unwavering dignity in life.
