Silent Song 10

Silent Song 10 features hand cut glass mosaic tesserae obtained by kneading aventurine grain and enamels into molten glass. The tiles were laid face-down on a temporary support before the mosaic was reversed, installed on its support and grouted. Master mosaicists interpreted Es Devlin’s design through time-honoured artistic mosaic techniques. Each tile showcases one-of-a-kind shades and a subtle luminous glow, imparting depth and a sense of three-dimensionality to the pattern.
