Connections

This is sphere is carved directly from linden wood, a timber with a light hue and a fine, gentle grain. Its exterior, patinated through charring, takes on a deep, matte black finish, resembling skin scorched by flames. Inside, a concave form reveals the wood’s pale natural tone, contrasting sharply with the deep black of the exterior. An opening and a hollowed-out recess connect the two spaces.
