Daam Dah 11-2, Daam Dah 11-3

These vessels by Keeryong Choi were crafted from kiln-formed glass. Bubbles were deliberately created on the surface and enhanced with 23.5-carat gold leaf inlay. By elevating imperfections into focal points, the works celebrate irregularity as an expression of the unique beauty inherent in craft. They also reflect the artist’s experience of existing between Korean and British visual cultures, exploring a sense of 'unhomeliness' and cultural in-betweenness.
