Ying Xu - the Waxing and Waning

This six-part installation uses interlocking bamboo circles to form structures. Ramie fibre and China grass cloth are woven, torn and stretched over frames, creating dense and open surfaces through grasscloth weaving and Guangdong caizha, known as coloured paper crafting.
