This wall panel by Calvin Nicholls was sculpted from archival cotton paper using metal tools. Multiple paper thicknesses were employed to achieve both fine detail and structural strength, while Thai marbled momi paper provides a contrasting background. Depicting two young robins competing for a single berry, the work celebrates the vitality shared by the fledglings, their parent and the tree that sustains them.
