This vase by Yuki Nara was digitally modelled and handcrafted using traditional ceramic techniques. Porcelain clay was hammered into thin slabs, cut, refined and assembled by hand on a wheel, before undergoing multiple firings. Rooted in the artist’s philosophy of merging craft with architectural technology, the work seeks a balance between tactile intuition, the shifting behaviour of clay and scientific precision.
