Anfora I, Anfora II, Kantharos I

These vessels by Leonardo Cappellini were turned from single blocks of olive burl. The decorations were carved into black oil-painted surfaces, revealing the natural grain beneath. Anfora I portrays the olive tree’s journey from harvest to oil, paying tribute to nature and to the ancient gestures that transform the tree into culture and shared nourishment. Anfora II depicts the two interconnected sides of the olive tree, the branches rising towards the sky, and the roots silently sustaining life beneath. Kantharos I displays scenes of conviviality, symbolising human connection and celebrating sharing, dialogue and harmony as essential values for our time.
