©All rights reservedDandelion - Cycle
This sculpture by Shota Suzuki was made from sheet metal, hand hammered, chased and soldered. The seed head was welded and plated from fine brass wires. Colour results from patination, with the addition of gold powder. Inspired by the dandelion’s cycle of blooming, dispersal and renewal, the piece expresses a continuous process of change, rooted in the Japanese aesthetic of utsuroi.
