Vestige I, Vestige II
These sculptures by Yuna Kim were crafted from kiln-formed glass frits, employing the pâte de verre technique. The firing temperature was precisely controlled to preserve the frits’ granular texture. Although their porous structures prevent them from holding any content, the pieces are still perceived as vessels. They explore the idea that existence is shaped not only by sensory perception, but also by memory and experience.
