In this piece, a dozen black bird-like silhouettes are spaced across a mostly pink quilt. The second quilt in a triptych about the war in Ukraine, the all-over stitching is a version of a traditional Ukrainian embroidery design. The abstract shapes feature a horse head and other shapes you might see when a flock of birds takes wing.
