This brooch has been made by stitching thread through organza, and copper electroforming it to create a delicate metal skeleton in the fabric that preserves its translucency. The fabric has been shaped into flat planes resembling the wings of a moth. The copper has a dark brown patina that has been polished in sections to reveal shiny copper highlights.
