Grey Gardens clematis
This tableau is a study of a dormant clematis seedhead collected at Grey Gardens, the historic home of the Bouvier family. Red buds and twisting green vines on a square of white cotton are the centrepiece of the work. Quilted pink, gold and ivory silk surround it with a decorative trim on the right edge.
